Had been recommended by son and family to have a look at New Age Cars when the time came to trade in my 20 year old car. Went down one Sunday afternoon and Jay pointed out a few cars that might suit me, but was by no means pushy or in my face. Went home to have a think about it, and couple of hours later was back at New Age signing on the dot. Picked the car up couple of days later, all shiney and new looking, and drove away a very happy Grannie. Next day Jay came round home and went through a couple of things with me that I'm sure he had already told me, and then when I went back yet again, he very patiently sorted out my couple of queries. All the staff were very pleasant and Jay in particular was a pleasure to deal with. Just decided a day earlier that I need to upgrade my old car and browsed through Trade me. Found a great Atenza Manual and gave the guys down at New Age cars a call and the next day made the long trip from Hamilton with my mate unsure how the car is or how will it go. After spending a whole morning trawling around car yards for a suitable family car, plus and a small hatchback for my wife, I was ready to call it a day. I was met with unhelpful salespeople (I didn’t know such a thing existed but it does) and cars that were either too expensive for my budget, or had high mileages.
The last car yard – the 9th that morning, was New Age Cars. What a breath of fresh air. I meandered in and was met with friendly, unpressured enthusiasm. After a chat about what I was interested in, the salesman showed me exactly what I had been looking for. I spent a really long time test driving it, asking questions, going away to think, coming back again and they remained friendly and patient throughout. Once we had decided to buy the family car, I told them what I wanted in the hatchback. Instantly I was shown another car which is perfect for our needs.
New Age Cars were very kind and held the cars we wanted until our finances permitted the purchase, giving us a courtesy vehicle in the meantime. We had many meetings between choosing and purchasing and every person I dealt with was incredibly helpful and friendly, every step of the way.
New Age Cars have a unique balance of confident professionalism, mechanical prowess (they have their own workshop) and the willingness to do what it takes for you to walk away happy.
